A strategic advisor to leading corporations and governments worldwide, Khanna was formerly a member of the World Economic Forum's Global Future Councils, where she provided thought leadership on the impact and governance of emerging technologies.
She currently serves on the scientific advisory board of L'Oreal, the boards of Johnson Controls, Mercy, and NEOM Tonomous who oversees the development of the $500 billion smart city, NEOM, in Saudi Arabia. Khanna is also actively involved in various Singapore government boards and was instrumental in shaping the country's Skills Future programme.
Globally recognised for her work in AI for healthcare, smart cities, telecommunications, transport and retail, Khanna has been featured in a documentary by ZDF, one of Germany's largest TV channels and numerous publications around the world.
A passionate advocate of diversity and inclusion, in 2014, Ayesha Khanna founded 21st Century Girls. The charity delivers free coding and AI classes to young girls and mid-career women based on the philosophy of Seymour Papert and John Dewey. Khanna hopes to empower the next generation of innovators and equip them with the skills needed to lead future industries.
The distinguished author of "Straight Through Processing" and the co-author of "Hybrid Reality", Khanna is currently working on her third book "U+AI", which focuses on the impact of technologies such as ChatGPT on our work, relationships and health. She has been widely quoted on technology, innovation, and smart cities in leading publications and delivers impactful keynotes on AI and disruptive technologies.
Ayesha Khanna earned a BA in Economics from Harvard University, an MS in Operations Research from Columbia University, and a PhD in Information Systems (focused on digital innovation in smart cities) from the London School of Economics.
