Dr Amy Kruse is a trailblazer in the fields of science, technology, and innovation. Her groundbreaking work and visionary insights have earned her a sterling reputation among entrepreneurs and business leaders alike.

As the General Partner and Chief Investment Officer of Satori Neuro, Dr Kruse oversees a stage-agnostic fund dedicated to mental health, neurotechnology, and human flourishing. Her deep expertise guides Satori Neuro’s portfolio companies as they develop cutting-edge therapeutics, ranging from psychedelic medicine and transcranial magnetic stimulation to virtual/augmented reality protocols and non-invasive brainwave devices. These innovative treatments aim to address a variety of conditions, including treatment-resistant depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, addiction, substance abuse, and neurological disorders.

Amy Kruse is a Founding Member of the Loomis Innovation Council at the Stimson Center in Washington, DC, and a Guest Lecturer for Singularity University. She frequently contributes to defense panels and advisory boards for prominent organisations such as DARPA, the National Academies, and the Defense Science Board. Dr Kruse is regularly invited to speak on the latest advancements in mental health treatments, cognitive enhancement, and the future of human-machine interfaces. Prior to leading Satori Neuro, Dr Kruse served as a General Partner at Prime Movers Lab, where she led the fund’s early-stage life sciences investments in human augmentation and longevity. She continues to serve as a Board Director at several Prime Movers Lab portfolio companies. Amy Kruse previously served as Chief Scientific Officer of Optios, an applied neuroscience research organisation that translates cutting-edge neuroscience discoveries into practical tools to enhance the human experience, and as the Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Cubic Global Defense, where she oversaw the company’s research and development (R&D) programmes. Early in her career, Dr Kruse served as a government civilian programme manager at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), where she created and oversaw the Agency’s first performance-oriented neuroscience programmes.

Amy Kruse holds both a Bachelor of Science in Cell and Structural Biology and a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
