He has held leadership roles across the sport and media value chain. At IMG Media, Parthasarathi developed international content strategies; with BBC Technology, ESPN Star Sports, and SABC, he worked on the publisher side; and at the International Cricket Council, he led digital sales and monetisation. He has also held senior positions at Fox International Channels, News Corp, and Scripps Interactive Networks (now part of Discovery), giving him a panoramic view of how technology, storytelling, and fan engagement intersect.
In 2019, Parthasarathi founded Picture Board Partners, Asia’s first strategy and communications practice dedicated to the “GEMS” (Gaming, Education, Media, and Sport) sectors. Today, his work spans fostering eSports in Asia, mentoring next-generation entrepreneurs, and helping organisations navigate digital transformation. Deeply engaged in the social impact of sport, Unmish Parthasarathi has been associated with the GoSports Foundation, a leading nonprofit supporting Indian athletes since Rio 2016. In 2022, he was appointed Chairman of its Governing Board. These roles reflect his belief that sport is not just a commercial enterprise but a force for opportunity and equity.
