Tim Ferriss

Tim Ferriss is a best-selling author, entrepreneur, investor, and podcaster recognised globally for his transformative insights on productivity, personal development, and lifestyle design. He is the author of five #1 New York Times and Wall Street Journal bestsellers, including The 4-Hour Workweek, Tools of Titans, and Tribe of Mentors, which have collectively sold millions of copies and been translated into over 40 languages. In addition to Suzanne Collins (The Hunger Games), he is the only single author to have two books simultaneously on Amazon’s Top-10 Most Highlighted Books of All Time list. 

Ferriss was named one of Fast Company’s “Most Innovative Business People” and was previously listed on Fortune’s “40 under 40.” As an early-stage technology investor and advisor, he has played a key role in the growth of companies such as Uber, Facebook, Shopify, Duolingo, Alibaba, and more than 50 others. 

He is also the host of The Tim Ferriss Show, one of the most listened-to podcasts in the world with over one billion downloads. Known for in-depth interviews with world-class performers across diverse fields, the show was the first business/interview podcast to surpass 100 million downloads.  

Ferriss has spoken at some of the world’s most prestigious institutions and events, including Google, MIT, Harvard Business School, Nike, Facebook, Microsoft, the CIA, TED, SXSW, LeWeb, and the Web 2.0 Expo. He has shared stages with industry luminaries such as Eric Schmidt, former Executive Chairman of Google, and Jeff Bezos, founder and CEO of Amazon. He also served as a guest lecturer at Princeton University, where he taught on topics such as entrepreneurship, accelerated learning, and lifestyle design. 

In addition to his creative and business ventures, Ferriss is a passionate advocate for education and philanthropy. He serves on the advisory board of DonorsChoose.org, a pioneering nonprofit that supports public school classrooms across the United States. 

Ferriss received his BA from Princeton University in 2000, where he focused on language acquisition and East Asian Studies. He developed his nonfiction writing with Pulitzer Prize winner John McPhee and formed his life philosophies under Nobel Prize winner Kenzaburō Ōe.
