A longtime New York Times foreign affairs columnist and three-time Pulitzer Prize winner, Thomas L. Friedman brings clarity to some of the most pressing questions facing geopolitics and society today.

Over the past four decades, Friedman has reported on everything from Middle Eastern wars and climate change to the rise of China and the reshaping of the American job market. His on-the-ground reporting during the Israeli invasion of Lebanon, the Sabra and Shatila massacre, and the country’s civil war earned him his first Pulitzer Prize.

In 1995, Thomas Friedman became the Times’ Jerusalem Bureau Chief, covering a tense and transitional period in Israeli-Palestinian relations, including the lead-up to the First Intifada. That work earned him a second Pulitzer, this time for international reporting. His commentary in the wake of the September 11 attacks examining terrorism, the Middle East, and global response earned him a third Pulitzer, for distinguished commentary.

Friedman is the author of seven bestselling books. The Lexus and the Olive Tree (1999) argued that globalisation has become the dominant global framework more defining than the Cold War. The World Is Flat (2005) made him a household name as he distilled the forces behind outsourcing and digital disruption into a framework that resonated widely. Later books like Hot, Flat, and Crowded and Thank You for Being Late explored how technology, markets, and climate are accelerating and colliding in ways that reshape everything from politics to the workplace.

Thomas Friedman’s current work focuses on what he calls “the age of accelerations”. How digitalisation, climate change, and geopolitical realignment are transforming global stability, national security, and economic opportunity. Friedman is a frequent speaker at events focused on navigating what comes next. His work spans foreign policy, the Middle East, global supply chains, artificial intelligence, and the evolving future of liberal democracies.
