Tananya Suteerachai is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Journal, a Thai perfume and lifestyle brand founded in 2017 with a vision to tell Thai stories through scent.
Under her leadership, Journal has grown from a small creative concept into a nationwide brand with 23 branches across Thailand, alongside distribution through more than 40 multi-brand beauty stores. The company employs more than 170 people and continues to expand its retail footprint and cultural influence.
At the heart of Journal is the belief that fragrance can be a powerful medium for storytelling. Suteerachai has led the development of distinctive scents inspired by both everyday and traditional Thai life, from Mango Sticky Rice and the Songkran festival to the energy of Silom and the folklore of Kumarn, the Thai child ghost. Through these creations, Journal explores lesser-seen dimensions of Thai identity while offering consumers a contemporary, personal way to connect with local culture.
Before founding Journal, Suteerachai studied Journalism at Thammasat University before earning a Master’s degree in Environmental Policy and Sustainability Management in the United States. Although she had a longstanding interest in environmental issues, limited career opportunities in the field in Thailand led her back to another passion: media, advertising and creative communication. More than two years in advertising gave her valuable experience in branding, product development and storytelling, skills that would later become central to Journal.
Today, Suteerachai is focused on taking Journal beyond Thailand, with strategic ambitions across key Asian markets, the UAE and Europe. Through retail, multi-brand distribution and digital channels, she continues to build Journal as a contemporary Thai brand with global potential.
