Shanker Trivedi

Shanker Trivedi is one of the business leaders behind the global rise of enterprise AI. During his 17 years at NVIDIA, he helped transform the company’s enterprise business into a multibillion-dollar operation. He led worldwide sales and industry development for its data centre and professional visualisation businesses. Under his leadership, NVIDIA’s enterprise revenue grew to more than US$16 billion, cementing the company as a global leader in AI infrastructure.

With more than 30 years of executive experience across the US, UK and India, Trivedi has helped organisations navigate every major wave of enterprise computing. His career spans leadership roles at IBM, Sun Microsystems, Callidus Software and NVIDIA. Together, they give him a rare perspective on how breakthrough technologies become commercial realities.

At NVIDIA, Trivedi worked with hyperscalers, OEMs, governments and enterprise customers across industries. These included manufacturing, healthcare, financial services, telecommunications and energy. He also helped build many of the partnerships that accelerated enterprise adoption of GPU computing and AI, years before generative AI entered the mainstream.

Today, Shanker Trivedi is recognised as a thoughtful voice on AI strategy and economic transformation. Drawing on decades of experience, he argues that AI success depends on more than powerful models and computing capacity. It also requires bold leadership, ambitious thinking and the confidence to scale innovation.

Following his retirement from NVIDIA in 2026, Shanker Trivedi joined the Board of Directors at Enphase Energy. There, he advises on the convergence of AI, energy infrastructure and electrification. He holds a Gold Medal MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta and a Master of Science in Mathematics and Computing from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi.
