Nick Vujicic is an evangelist, motivational speaker, author, producer, investor and entrepreneur known for his resilience and global advocacy for people living with disabilities. Born in 1982 in Melbourne with Tetra-Amelia Syndrome, he has no arms or legs, apart from two small feet, one with two toes.
Despite being otherwise healthy, his early years were marked by significant challenges. He faced social exclusion, bullying, and periods of depression during childhood and adolescence. Initially restricted by local policies from attending mainstream school, he later became one of the first students with physical disabilities integrated into a mainstream educational environment in Victoria. Although he briefly trialled assistive electronic limbs in an effort to fit in, he ultimately found them impractical and limiting.
Over time, Vujicic developed independence and adaptability, learning to perform daily tasks such as typing, swimming, and personal care. His leadership qualities emerged early; during secondary school, he was elected school captain and actively participated in student-led fundraising initiatives supporting charitable and disability-related causes. He later pursued higher education at Griffith University, earning a double Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Financial Planning. By the age of 19, he began delivering motivational speeches, sharing his life experiences to inspire resilience and purpose.
Since launching his speaking career, Vujicic has reached millions worldwide, engaging diverse audiences that include students, educators, corporate professionals, and faith-based communities. In 2005, he relocated to the United States and founded NickV Ministries (formerly Life Without Limbs), where he serves as President and CEO. He further expanded his impact in 2007 by establishing Attitude is Altitude, a platform focused on anti-bullying advocacy and the promotion of positive values among younger generations. Vujicic launched ProLifeFintech in November 2024, a financial technology platform offering.
Having engaged with more than 25 world leaders and supported initiatives benefiting survivors of human trafficking and orphaned children, Vujicic continues to advance a global message centered on resilience, purpose, and hope.
