Miguel Camacho

Having worked in 61 countries in 5 continents over the past 30 years, Miguel Camacho is an expert in organisational development and enterprise strategy. While mostly working with small and medium-sized companies, he has extensive experience working with non-profit organisations on optimising their performance and delivering value to their stakeholders.

Camacho’s professional focus lies on ensuring human resources are understood as unique individuals full of richness, capacities, and values, and not just generic, replaceable cogs in a machine. This philosophy is reflected in his work with organisations across all inhabited continents and in diverse cultural contexts.

For over 20 years, Camacho has played a pivotal role in trade capacity development and promotion, helping small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and trade promotion organisations in Africa, Southeast Asia, and Latin America to expand their export capabilities to key markets in the EU and the US.

In addition to his consultancy work, Camacho serves as a lecturer in business strategy and organisational development at the Higher Institute for Management in Geneva. He has also taught at several leading universities in Colombia, including Universidad de los Andes and Universidad Externado de Colombia.

A resident of Switzerland, Camacho is a Colombian citizen and holds a MSc in International Management from the University of Liverpool, an MA in Marketing and a BSc in Economics from Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá. He is fluent in French, English and Spanish, and knows rudimentary German and Italian.
