Mati Staniszewski is the Co-Founder and CEO of ElevenLabs, an AI research and product company building advanced audio tools for businesses, developers, and creators.
Staniszewski grew up in Poland before moving to the UK to study Mathematics at Imperial College London. His journey with ElevenLabs began with a childhood friend, Piotr Dabkowski, and a shared vision to make high-quality audio accessible across languages, voices, and cultures. After both went on to build careers in technology, they revisited that early idea, inspired by the poor dubbing of American movies they had watched growing up. Together, they set out to build a platform that could break down the linguistic barriers that limit how people experience and access content.
Today, ElevenLabs develops AI-powered tools spanning speech, music, and sound generation, as well as voice agents capable of listening, speaking, and taking action. Under Staniszewski’s leadership, the company has grown from an ambitious idea into a global AI company whose technology is used across a wide range of applications, from audiobook narration and content creation to interactive experiences, including powering Darth Vader’s voice in Fortnite.
Staniszewski’s approach combines deep technical focus, global talent, and a strong emphasis on building products that are accessible and useful to creators and end users. His work is focused on using AI to transform how people create, experience, and interact with audio.
Before founding ElevenLabs, Staniszewski worked at Palantir as a Deployment Strategist, partnering with Fortune 500 companies and governments to deploy technology in complex environments. Prior to that, he worked at BlackRock, where he helped launch the Aladdin Wealth platform.
