She founded Bobbie after experiencing first-hand the stigma and frustration surrounding infant feeding. Today, Bobbie is the first mother-founded and led infant formula company in the US. It is also the country’s third-largest fully integrated manufacturer. Under Modi’s leadership, the company has become one of the fastest-growing brands in the category. It has also raised expectations around nutrition, transparency and accountability.

Laura Modi believes companies should improve the systems they operate in. After the 2022 infant formula crisis, she worked with lawmakers to strengthen domestic manufacturing and supply chains. Through Bobbie for Change, she has championed paid parental leave, supported mothers facing medical challenges and pushed for a more honest conversation about every family’s feeding journey.

Before launching Bobbie, Modi held leadership roles at Airbnb and Google. Airbnb shaped her thinking the most.
