Langley Sharp MBE is the Founder and Director of Frontier Leadership, a consultancy dedicated to helping individuals, teams, and organisations achieve peak performance through leadership excellence.

A former British Army officer, Sharp served as Head of the Centre for Army Leadership at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, where he was responsible for shaping and championing leadership development across the British Army. A graduate of Sandhurst himself, his career in the elite Parachute Regiment included operational command at every rank and deployments to Northern Ireland, Macedonia, Afghanistan, and Iraq.

His varied leadership roles include commanding a Parachute Regiment Battalion, leading a counter-insurgency Task Force operation, and directing the Ministry of Defence’s training programme for venue security at the London 2012 Olympics, an effort for which he was awarded an MBE.

Sharp is the author of The Habit of Excellence, the British Army’s official book on leadership, the first publication of its kind to be formally endorsed by the Army. Drawing on more than 300 years of institutional knowledge, alongside the latest research in military history, sociology, psychology and behavioural science, the book offers peerlessly authoritative insight into the art and science of leadership. Through compelling illustrations from Army operations across the centuries, Sharp moves beyond passing leadership trends to capture the enduring principles of effective leadership from one of the world’s most respected institutions.

Now in the private sector, Sharp brings deep operational experience and academic rigour to his work with clients across industries. He is a passionate advocate for the role of leadership as a force multiplier for organisational success and broader societal good.
