John Rachmat

John Rachmat brings over three decades of expertise in finance, capital markets, and equity research across Southeast Asia and the United Kingdom. He currently serves as Independent Commissioner at Pinnacle Investment, where he provides strategic guidance on governance, financial oversight, and capital-market initiatives.

Rachmat began his career in London as a Senior Auditor at Stoy Hayward. He subsequently developed a distinguished track record in equity research through senior roles at Morgan Grenfell Asia, Schroders Indonesia, Indosuez W.I Carr, ABN AMRO Asia Securities, and RBS Asia Securities in Singapore. His leadership experience spans executive roles, including President Director of Trade Ezy Securities Indonesia and Chief Operating Officer at Finansa Indonesia.

Since 2012, Rachmat has served as Head of Equity Research at Mandiri Sekuritas, overseeing both regional and domestic research initiatives. He also brings extensive experience in corporate governance, serving as Independent Commissioner and Chairman of the Audit Committee at PT Holcim Indonesia Tbk since 2010.

Rachmat holds an MBA from London Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Economics (First Class Honours) from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, 1993) and completed his International Baccalaureate Diploma at the United World College of South East Asia, Singapore.
