A former medical doctor turned award-winning comedian, Dr Jason Leong has mastered the art of reinvention and the science of connection. His journey from hospital corridors to Netflix specials has made him one of Malaysia’s most distinctive voices in entertainment and an inspiring speaker on courage, change, and the power of humour to unite people.

Trained in medicine at University College Dublin, Jason Leong spent years working in hospitals before deciding that the best way to heal people might not be through prescriptions, but through laughter. Since then, his career has charted a remarkable trajectory. From winning the 7th International Hong Kong Comedy Competition to selling out multiple national tours and starring in two Netflix specials, Hashtag Blessed (2020) and Ride with Caution (2023). He has also been featured on Comedy Central Asia and performed at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. In 2022, Leong became the first Malaysian based in Malaysia to perform at the prestigious Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal — the global proving ground for comedy icons like Kevin Hart and Amy Schumer.
