Isabelle Boemeke

Isabelle Boemeke’s journey to becoming the world’s first nuclear energy influencer began in 2019 when massive wildfires tore through the Amazon rainforest, her home country’s most vital ecosystem. Frustrated by the slow pace of global climate action, Boemeke immersed herself in research on energy systems and was struck by a surprising truth. Nuclear power, often dismissed or stigmatised, is one of the most effective tools we have to fight climate change. Unlike fossil fuels, it produces no carbon emissions; and unlike renewables, it provides stable, around-the-clock electricity at scale. Yet it remained misunderstood and unpopular.

Determined to change that, Isabelle Boemeke created Isodope and a new language for nuclear energy advocacy. Dressed in futuristic costumes and speaking in sharp, witty bursts, Boemeke uses humour, pop culture, and visual storytelling to explain complex concepts. From how uranium pellets compare to fossil fuels, to why nuclear waste is a solvable issue rather than a looming catastrophe. Her videos have reached millions worldwide, sparking conversations that traditional campaigns never could.

Beyond social media, Boemeke is a serious force in the energy debate and is unapologetic about her mission. She has organised grassroots rallies to save plants like California’s Diablo Canyon, invested in nuclear startups pushing the boundaries of clean energy innovation, and recently published her book Rad Future. She also speaks to governments, businesses, and civic groups about why nuclear must be part of a sustainable and equitable energy future.

Isabelle Boemeke believes culture is as critical as policy in shaping opinion. By fusing art, activism, and science, she has become one of the most original voices in the global climate conversation that challenges audiences to rethink not just energy, but the very way ideas take hold in society.
