As the founder and CEO of Future Green Global, a purpose-driven consultancy and certified B Corp, Spurrell has made it her mission to help businesses transform sustainability from buzzword to blueprint. A former global nomad, raising three children across continents – Heidi Yu Spurrell’s journey to becoming one of Asia’s leading sustainability advocate began with a personal reckoning during a routine grocery trip. An eye-opening moment that revealed the hidden costs of food production, sparked a career pivot for her.

In 2019, Spurrell founded Future Green, a leading consultancy in Asia’s food sustainability movement. Her hands-on approach blends strategy and execution, and helps businesses large and small align their operations with sustainable practices. She has conducted over 5,000 hours of workshops and training sessions inspired by her Masters in Food Policy and, more recently, AJ&Smart’s Sprint Method, cutting through complexity to deliver measurable results.

The impact Spurrell has made has not gone unnoticed. Future Green was a semi-finalist in the Rockefeller Foundation Food Systems Vision Awards in 2020. In 2021, she was named a Tatler Asia Tastemaker, and in 2024, Heidi Yu Spurrell received a British Empire Medal (BEM) for her contributions to sustainability in the food and beverage sector.
