Heather Fisher is a Rugby World Cup winner, Olympian, and former Great Britain bobsledder whose career has been defined by resilience, elite performance, and an unwavering commitment to overcoming adversity.
After a challenging start in life and a teenage struggle with anorexia, Fisher discovered her natural talent and drive within the world of sport. In her late twenties, she suffered a devastating spinal injury, breaking her back in four places which left her in a full-body cast for 18 months. The trauma also triggered alopecia, significantly affecting her self-image and confidence. Yet, in the face of these life-altering setbacks, Fisher demonstrated remarkable resilience, ultimately reclaiming her place at the pinnacle of elite sport. Representing her country in five Rugby World Cups, winning the 2014 title, claiming four Six Nations championships, medalling at the Commonwealth Games, and competing at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games with Team GB, her story is one of relentless determination, courage, and excellence at the highest levels of international sport.
Now retired from elite competition, Fisher has become a powerful voice in the arenas of motivational speaking, media, and advocacy. Widely recognised for her appearances on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins and Go Hard or Go Home, she uses her platform to champion authenticity, mental health, and inclusion.
As an LGBT advocate and passionate supporter of causes related to alopecia, autism, and youth empowerment, Fisher continues to inspire by sharing her personal journey and driving positive change in communities across the UK and beyond.
