From shaping the future of personal computing at Apple to championing creativity at Canva, Guy Kawasaki’s career has been defined by an unwavering belief in the power of ideas to change the world. As one of the original evangelists behind the Macintosh, Kawasaki helped Steve Jobs bring personal computing to the masses and forever altered the way we interact with technology.
Today, as Canva’s Chief Evangelist and host of the Remarkable People podcast, Guy Kawasaki continues his mission: to empower individuals and businesses to think differently, take bold risks, and make a lasting impact.
Over his four-decade career, Kawasaki has worked with brands like Google, Mercedes-Benz, and Wikipedia. He has founded four tech startups, advised countless others, and helped shape how we think about technology, marketing, and entrepreneurship.
As a bestselling author of 16 books—including The Art of the Start, Enchantment, and The Art of Social Media—his insights have guided business leaders, startups, and students worldwide. His latest book, Think Remarkable, dives into personal and professional growth, and is complemented by his podcast where he has interviewed extraordinary people like Jane Goodall, Steve Wozniak, and Arianna Huffington.
Guy Kawasaki challenges the conventional wisdom of “finding your passion” and urges people to follow their interests, experiment, and embrace failure as a stepping stone to success. As he often says, “You could fail five times, but if on the sixth attempt you succeed, nobody will care about the first five.” His experiences in Silicon Valley, working with both leaders and self-serving executives, have given him a unique perspective on leadership: true impact comes from mission-driven work, not ego-driven ambition.
Kawasaki is a brand ambassador for Mercedes-Benz, a trustee for the Wikimedia Foundation, and an executive fellow at UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business. He also teaches at the University of New South Wales.
