Graham Weaver is the founder and managing partner of Alpine Investors, a people-driven private equity firm focused on investing in software and services businesses. With more than 27 years of experience in private equity, Weaver founded Alpine Investors on the belief that exceptional people build exceptional businesses – a PeopleFirst philosophy that continues to guide the firm’s strategy and culture today. In addition to his work at Alpine, Weaver teaches a top-rated strategic management course at Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Weaver’s passion for personal development began early. While mowing lawns during high school summers in suburban Ohio, he immersed himself in self-improvement audiotapes, sparking a lifelong commitment to helping others realise their full potential. Prior to founding Alpine Investors in 2001, Weaver served as a Vice President at Oak Hill Capital Management, the private equity arm of Robert Bass’ organization. Before joining Oak Hill, he worked at American Securities Capital Partners and began his career at Morgan Stanley Capital Partners, Morgan Stanley’s private equity group.
Weaver holds an MBA from Stanford University and a BS in Engineering from Princeton University, where he graduated with highest honors and served as captain of the national championship lightweight crew team.
