Ghida Fakhry is the executive producer and host of TRT World’s Bigger Than Five and was formerly the host of Inside America with Ghida Fakhry. Two incisive political programmes known for their unflinching interviews and sharp analysis of the US and global affairs.

Over a two-decade career, Fakhry has developed a distinctive reporting voice — serious-minded, unsentimental, and globally attuned. Her journalism has been shaped on the ground: from post-invasion Iraq and Afghanistan to the halls of the United Nations, where she reported extensively on diplomacy and power at its most performative. She has interviewed some of the most consequential figures of recent history, including Colin Powell, Donald Rumsfeld, Kofi Annan, Muammar Qaddafi, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and Shimon Peres. Ghida Fakhry was one of the original lead anchors at Al Jazeera English, where she helped define the network’s editorial voice from its Washington DC bureau and later its Doha headquarters.
