Amann is a graduate of the University of Connecticut, where he earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering and served as the university’s mascot, the Giant White Dog. He began his career at General Dynamics Electric Boat, contributing to the design of next-generation nuclear submarines. During his tenure, Amann took the initiative to create his own position within the Program Office, becoming the youngest member involved in the design phase of cutting-edge components. His inventive spirit led to the development of a Bluetooth-based supply chain tracking system, earning him two US patents. This breakthrough technology was implemented across various manufacturing facilities, saving hundreds of thousands of dollars annually.
